Consistently our top seller! Dark Timbre is a great Sumatra single origin from the Takengon region of Mandheling. The coffee is produced at the Sara Ate Coop, a collective of over 500 small farm owners since the late 1990’s. We have purchased this bean since our opening, tasking a quick break with the previous Dark Timbre using the Harmimau Tiger Sumatra. Welcome back to our Takengon variety!
The dark roast is full-bodied, with smooth notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar and nutmeg.

Dark Timbre single origin Sumatra from Takengon region is our top seller! A wonderful dark roast Sumatra, that we retain all the natural spices and dark chocolate notes you expect from a quality Sumatra coffee. This is achieved by keeping the roast development on the shorter side than is typical in many dark roasts. This is wet-hulled coffee, combining hybrid processing methods of natural and wet processing, producing a very distinct flavor from Indonesia.
The Sara Ate Coop has been producing coffee in the Takengon region from a collective of small farm owners since the late 1990's.
They have over 500 members that comprise the cooperative. We have had consistent quality in all of the inventory we have purchased from here and has been our most popular coffee since we opened!
