This makes a GREAT cup of coffee for a single user. I have been using a dark roast. Nevertheless, the coffee is so clear, not bitter. The heavier filter paper is what makes Chemex-brewed coffee so wonderful. I ended up buying glass mugs so I could also see how beautiful the coffee looks.
