Honduras Finca Cual Bicicleta

Finca Cual Bicicleta is a single-origin micro-lot produced and grown by Oscar Omar Alonzo.

Don Oscar founded his farm in 1997 and produces very high quality coffees with the support of COMSA cooperative. His farm is 100% organic production and the coffees are also Fair Trade certified. Don Oscar is renowned for producing the finest and most complex coffees in all of Honduras.

You can expect delicious tasting notes of Meyer lemon, ripe plum, golden raisin, finished off with a brown sugar sweetness.

With technical help from COMSA, Don Oscar was able to convert his farm to 100% organic production and able to produce some of the finest and most complex coffees in Honduras.

The farm, Cual Bicicleta  ("bike farm") was named after Oscar's transition from non-organic to organic production and his analogy of riding a bike. “When you ride a bicycle, you are not polluting, you must keep balance, this ride is designed to move forward and never back, and all the pieces of the chain, the bicycle must work together perfectly so you can keep moving”

The farm is located in Chinacla region and the Catuai variety is fully washed and sun dried on patios. The beans are grown at 1,518 masl.
